About Me

My name is Ed Klacik and I am one of the first grade teachers at Margaret Ross Elementary.  Prior to teaching first grade, I taught third grade at Independence Elementary. I was also the K-4 learning/emotional support teacher at Margaret Ross Elementary for six years prior to that.
I am a 2001 graduate of Hopewell High School, which makes teaching in the district even more special. In 2006, I graduated from Slippery Rock University with degrees in Elementary and Special Education. I first got hired in 2009 as the elementary life skills teacher for the district.  Recently, I earned my Master of Education in School Counseling from Westminster College.
My goal is to create a positive and welcoming classroom environment where all students have the ability to learn. I emphasize hard work and perseverance with my students and believe that following these principles anything can be achieved. My mantra is to always do your best and never give up on yourself! I look forward to working with you and your child this year and I know that together we can have a positive impact on their education.

Take care,
Mr. Klacik
