Business Administrator
Must be knowledgeable in budgeting, financial planning, cash management, federal and state reporting requirements related to school funding, fund accounting, bidding, negotiations, facilities, child accounting and school construction.
Responsibilities include payroll, employee benefits, purchasing, insurance, investments and accounting.
  • Prior supervisory and accounting experience required
  • Bachelors degree
  • Accounting degree strongly preferred
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be bondable

Director of Transportation
Three to five years of experience in transportation in a supervisory capacity, preferably in a school district.  
 Responsibilities Include:
  1.  Develops and administers a transportation program to meet all the requirements of the daily instructional program and extracurricular activities.
  2. Prepares bus routes for all public and nonpublic schools in the District.
  3. Prepares and updates bus schedules, student rosters for all public, private and nonpublic schools attended by Hopewell Area students.
  4. Recruits, trains, and supervises all transportation personnel.
  5. Prepares and administers the transportation budget.
  6. Authorizes purchases in accordance with budgetary limitations and District rules.
  7. Maintains safety standards in compliance with state and insurance regulations.
  8. Conforms with all state laws and regulations regarding school transportation.
  9. Coordinates with law enforcement personnel relative to inquiries regarding the safety of bus stops.
  10. Investigates all accidents inclusive of taking pictures at the scene of the accident.
  11. Completes and dispatches insurance reports.
  12. Submits all reports as required by state authorities.

Substitute School Bus Drivers needed. $20.01per hour (2 hours minimum call out). Will train.

Substitute Custodians

Food Service Substitute Positions

Hopewell Area School District is currently hiring Substitute Food Service Workers. These positions are on-call positions used for filling in as needed in the cafeterias to cover employee call offs with most shifts being between 2-4 hours per day when needed. Applicants need to be available to work Monday thru Friday, pass state and federal clearances, and be easily reached by phone.
