Sixth grade honors language arts will encompass three different aspects.
Word Study: The students will learn many different vocabulary words. They will be able to use these words in the context of writing.
Language:  Students will learn parts of speech, different styles of writing, and punctuation.
Literature:  Students will use the elements of reading and incorporate them not only into the stories they will read out of the provided reading series, but the will also incorporate these skills into reading a novel.

Grading Scale:

100%-90%.........A

89%-80%...........B

79%-70%...........C

69%-60%...........D

59% and below....Failing
