Dear
Parents,
We would like to
welcome your child to third grade at Margaret Ross Elementary!
This will be an
exciting and interesting year for your third grade child. Listed below
are two groups of
items that should be brought to school on the first day:
A backpack with your child’s name on it and able to be hung on a hook
A white 1 inch view binder with a 1 inch ring, 2 inside pockets
(Make sure the
binder has the clear plastic cover on front and back.)
A plastic pencil box FILLED
WITH:
approximately
8.5” x 5.5” x 2” in size (anything larger will not fit in their desks)
5-10 yellow #2 pencils sharpened
1 box 24 Crayola
Crayons
1 pair of scissors
1 large pink eraser or eraser caps
1 large Elmer’s glue stick or 3 small
4 highlighters (assorted colors)
1 box of colored pencils (Crayola)
1 box of
EXPO markers
Double Pocket Folders: 2 of each color (orange, green, yellow, blue)
1 box of Kleenex and disposable disinfecting wipes
Sharpie BLACK felt tip markers
A large Zip Lock bag labeled with your child’s name filled with
the following
items to be used throughout the year:
2 dozen yellow pencils and 1 box 24 count crayons
Pack of highlighters (assorted colors)
1 pair of headphones for the classroom
3-4 glue sticks (small or large size)
