The Beaver County School Districts, the Career and Technical Center and the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit continue to work together as we receive guidance from our state and federal leaders.  Governor Wolf has announced that the shelter-at-home order is extended through April 30 for the Commonwealth and PA schools will remain closed indefinitely. Therefor, all Beaver County school facilities are closed and events cancelled through, and including, Friday, May 1 , 2020.  We fully expect this to continue through May but we are awaiting further information from the Governor.  All Beaver County schools will continue to provide continuity of education during the closure.  We appreciate your patience and support during this closure and we will continue to provide updates as we move forward together.

All technology device pick-ups at HASD are still on schedule. Additionally, the breakfast and lunch pickups are still on-going at the Junior High and Independence Elementary School between 11-1 each weekday.

Device Pickup Information:

If a Hopewell student is still in need of a device for continuity of instruction, please let your child’s teacher know.

AP Updates for Schools Impacted by Coronavirus

March 16, 2020

The AP Program is developing resources to help schools support student learning during extended closures, as well as a solution that would allow students to test at home, depending on the situation in May. Additional information will be posted by March 20.

We will announce portfolio submission deadline extensions for AP 2-D Art and Design, 3-D Art and Design, Computer Science Principles, Drawing, Research, and Seminar courses by March 20. Schools do not need to call AP Services for Educators to request these extensions.

With all of the instability that has been caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, I am able to share that . We wanted to ensure that you were equipped with the most accurate information available if students were enquiring with you about the scholarship application. We are also happy to accept any digitally-based versions of the required documents (Letters of Recommendation, Transcripts [whether official or unofficial], etc.) until the deadline, so as to provide applicants, schools and any other individuals involved flexibility during this unstable time.
