Hopewell Area SD: Facility Master Planning Important Dates (May 14, May 18, & June 11)
The Hopewell Area SD would like to highlight a few dates (May 14, May 18, and June 11) to the public where meetings are being held to assist in determining the future of Hopewell schools. Please read the attached Superintendent's letter dated 4-30-2024 below for details. Computational Thinking Grade 6

General Information

September 4 - 
 
Hurricane Harvey Rescue MIssion.  Students will be conducting research on drone movements in order to program theiur drone to perform a rescue mission.
 
 
Students will again be using VEX IQ robots in grade 6.  This is once again made possible through the generousity of Vex Robotics and Robomatter Inc.  They have donated 5 VEX Super Kits, various parts, software & the curriculum that we will be using.
 
Computational Thinking, Grade 6, will continue developing the student's computational thinking skills.  This is the process of breaking a problem down into smaller problems, developing a list of steps to solve each smaller problem, and then combining it all to solve the larger problem.
