Journalism I

Journalism I is designed to improve students’ knowledge of journalistic practices as well as their writing and reporting skills. Students will explore the history and culture of journalism. The course will engage students in analysis of and writing for newspapers, magazines, television, radio, and the web. Students will practice reporting, writing, editing, and publishing news articles. Finally students will publish articles in the school newspaper.

GRADING SYSTEM

Grades are based on a total points system. Students earn grades through class work, homework, quizzes, exams, and projects.
