Congratulations to the April students of the month, senior Alexis Ozimok and sophomore Riley Lewis.

Alexis was named the 2017 Beaver County Distinguished Young Woman and continued to work with the program this year and to mentor Hopewell’s participants.  She was one of the organizers of the Hopewell Day of Action this past March as a response to the Parkland, Florida school shooting.  Additionally, Alexis is a member of National Honor Society and student council and has been very active in the musical during her time at Hopewell.  She plans to attend Carnegie Mellon University this fall.

Riley is an excellent student who has been a two year letter winner for the girls softball team and was recently inducted into National Honor Society.  Additionally, she was involved with and represented Hopewell extremely well this Winter at the Teen Leadership Summit at the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit.  She has been described by teachers as being empathetic and willing to stand up for others.
