The Pennsylvania Department of Health has changed the school immunization regulations beginning in August 2017. Please note the following information regarding attendance in the Hopewell Area School District.
Starting with the 2017-2018 school year, students will risk exclusion (unable to attend school) until the District has a record verifying that they have received all of the required immunizations. This complete immunization record MUST be submitted to your child’s school by August 24, 2017. Please plan accordingly so that you have time to see your child’s physician for the necessary immunizations.
You can drop off of your child’s health records in the District Office (2354 Brodhead Road) or deliver or mail them to your child’s assigned school. You can also scan and email the records to your child’s school nurse (contact information below).
If your child needs any required immunizations, please call your child’s physician's office to share this information with them and schedule the appropriate appointment. If you are underinsured and have concerns with the cost, the Pennsylvania Department of Health in Beaver County offers assistance. Please call them at 724-774-1385 for more information.
