Welcome to the website for Autistic Support Grades K-4 in the Hopewell Area School District.
My name is Tina Carbone and I have been teaching students with disabilities for over 18 years. I earned my bachelor's degree in The Education of the Exceptional from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
I have learned through my experiences that all children have the ability to learn. I enjoy my career as a teacher and I am dedicated to providing a quality education to the children that are entrusted to me.
The Autistic Support classroom is a highly structured setting that is built upon the TEACCH method. This method of support permits students to succeed in the school setting by providing a predictable daily routine. This predictability creates a sense of security in the learning environment which leads to achievement academically, socially and behaviorally.
